June update

We hope you and your family are well.

Twigden Asset is continuing to invest for the future, and we are excited to introduce you to three new members of the team! They come to us with an excellent depth of experience: Tom Vazson is our new Financial Adviser and Alice Bingham joined us in March as a new Paraplanner. Twigden Asset continues to value the longevity of its employees and will be guiding Tom and Alice as they build on their qualifications going forward. We are also excited to introduce Doug Bernard as our new Compliance Officer. All three are committed to enhancing our customer experience and are on hand to support our clients going forward.

In other news, we thoroughly enjoyed sponsoring the Olney May Ball last month of which we will be adding some drone footage to our social media shortly …

Market News

You will undoubtedly be aware that the market is currently experiencing extraordinarily high levels of volatility. With the effects of Russia invading Ukraine and the UK dealing with high levels of inflation. Our advice remains, as with when Covid hit, to stay invested and to avoid making any knee-jerk decisions: ‘it’s not about timing the market, but about time in the market…’.

As a valued client of Twigden Asset Management Limited, if you wish to speak to an adviser then please email: lois@twigdenasset.co.uk and we will make the necessary arrangements.

Trust Registration

We would like to also to inform you of the up-and-coming deadline for the registration of Trusts which must be registered with the UK Trust Registration Service (TRS) by 1 September 2022.

The Trust Registration Service (TRS) was launched in July 2017 as an online service for trusts to comply with their registration obligations and obtain their Self-Assessment (SA) Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR). It is a central register containing beneficial ownership details for trusts and serves to notify HMRC of any applicable tax liabilities. Following the implementation of the Fifth EU Money Laundering Directive (5MLD) into law on 10 January 2020, the Trust Registration Service now plays a vital part in the UK’s efforts to tackle the use of the financial system for the funding of criminal activities and terrorist financing.

For more information on which Trusts must be registered, please see attached document and the link below/attached document.
