Lois Twigden is fundraising for Sue Ryder (justgiving.com)

I have now clicked the confirm button and signed myself up for a sky dive in September. I am absolutely petrified of heights so this should be fun….even the thought of it makes my legs feel like jelly!

The drive to do this comes from wanting to raise money in memory of my amazing Nana for the great charity Sue Ryder. In 2020, the Sue Ryder palliative nurses from the Moggerhanger hospice cared for my Nana in her final weeks at home.

My nana was one of a kind, there is no doubt about it. Words cannot describe how much we miss her. There is a piece of my heart missing and not a day goes by I don’t think about her. The final weeks of her life were heart breaking, seeing someone you love deteriorate and in so much pain. However the only blessing were the Sue Ryder nurses who cared for her at home, they were truly amazing. They supported us as a family in the most difficult time. I know she would want them to receive as much support as possible so they can continue to support families like ours.
